A study of Baptist churches and leaders after 1700. The class will focus primarily on American Baptists. The relation of Baptists toward soul liberty, church polity, democracy, evangelism, and missions will be discussed.

The rise and growth of early baptistic separatist groups and Baptist churches from the first through the seventeenth centuries A.D. The principles and doctrines of the early church will be noted.

A continuation of CED 301 giving a biblical approach to counseling concerning common problems including hyperactive disorder, lying, stealing, sexual issues, alcohol abuse, parenting, and medical issues.

A biblical approach to counseling concerning common problems such as separation, anger, worry, fear, depression, self-esteem, guilt, and communication.

Marriage and Family

CED 206 | 2 Credit Hours
This course is designed to guide the student through the various responsibilities relating to courtship and marriage from a Biblical perspective. Emphasis is on the Biblical approach to finding and keeping the right lifelong mate. Topics discussed include: courting, engagement, adjustments after marriage, stewardship, parenthood, and divorce.
