MUS 226 | 1 Credit Hour Hymn playing techniques are advanced with a focus on right hand patterns and transposing hymns. Instruction is given in the area of creating and playing offertories, as well as the art of accompanying soloists, small musical groups, and choirs. Consideration will also be given to the pianist’s part in special services such as revival meetings, funerals, and weddings.
